The intervention consists of the insertion of an “extension” of the drying tower cylinder with lance insertion points. This eliminates the old slip crown insertion. The intervention therefore involves raising the drying tower and inserting the full service floor around the drying tower to allow for the maintenance of the lances. The use of lances as opposed to crowns reduces downtime for nozzle maintenance. The lances can be excluded from the electrical panel and can be conveniently removed from the tower. The result is a considerable simplification of the machine's entry into production, with the possibility of selecting the number of lances enabled with the production start. The machine's preheating time will also be shorter, saving up to 30% of gas at this stage.
