The intervention consists of placing a moisture meter for the atomised powder downstream of the machine. The instrument - an infrared sensor - is positioned, by means of appropriate brackets, in the first or second spray-drying belt at the outlet and allows continuous monitoring of the moisture content of the atomised product. The control replaces - or integrates - manual moisture sampling (a parameter, as we know, influenced by several variables such as density of the exit slips, temperature, pump and sprayer settings, nozzle wear, etc.) by standardising the measurement and applying of any corrections to the process. The meter has its own interface and can be connected to the supervisor or directly to the sprayer during installation. The instrument can be calibrated for correct reading of coloured mixes The result is an atomised product of better quality and always perfectly repeatable.
