AUTOMATIC WASHING SYSTEM

During operation, the inside wall of the tower becomes dirty and must be periodically washed. With the automatic washing system, drastic water savings can be achieved, improving the management of the entire operation. The intervention consists of inserting a nozzle into the body of the tower. This can be done vertically or, if space does not permit it (and for pre-Atm, ATE and ATI models), through a trapdoor cut into the side wall in the tower. The nozzle is equipped with a rotating head that, in the automatic washing cycle, covers the entire internal surface with high pressure (16 bar) and low flow. In addition to saving water, the man-hours required to run the operation are significantly reduced, and the operation becomes standardised, repeatable and independent of the human factor. Inherently safe, the automatic system can only operate when the temperature of the tower sheets falls below a certain temperature, avoiding the risks of “hot washing” (expansion-cracking in the tower body). The intervention also includes the supply of lances for the final finishing touches.
